Editorial
Winning three Academy Awards®, Sam Mendes’s astounding, journey-into-hell war thriller became an instant classic of the genre. Ingeniously constructed as two apparently continuous takes, 1917 converts bravura formalism into an immersive experience of white-knuckle intensity.
