It takes little more than a single character’s reflections by the pool for director Fulya Tokaoğlu to evoke the deep emotional complexities surrounding body image and the curiosities of aging. Brilliantly minimalistic, Aunty is an exquisitely crafted hand-drawn animation that shimmers with nuance.
