Synopsis
After moving in with her boyfriend to their new home in the Costa Brava, Mila begins to realize a loss of sexual desire lying deep inside her. She undergoes a self-exploration journey in which she revisits experiences of her childhood and adolescence in hopes to reconcile with her own body.
Editorial
The body keeps score in this frank exploration of mixed-up sexuality, which gingerly unpicks the interwoven connections of shame and desire. Given the truthful force of embodied memory by writer, director, and star Elena Martín, this vividly evoked film premiered in Directors’ Fortnight at Cannes.
