Synopsis
The documentary is named after Arkadas Z. Özger’s poem which had caused much controversy in that period. In this episodic poem considered to be in defiance of heteronormativity; there are references to his personality, his family, his relationship with society and his “unexpected” death.

Poet, revolutionary, queer icon. The poetry of Arkadaş Z. Özger was subverting heteronormativity among leftist circles of Turkey in the 1960s and ‘70s. Ulaş Tosun’s documentary follows the verses of this extraordinary figure to paint a complex picture of an era, as well as 25 years of his life.
