Editorial
For Brazilian Cinema Day, we’re spotlighting Roberto Santos’s star redemption story, which sows a crisis of faith into the dramatic landscape of a region rarely seen on film. The folk rhythms of guitarist-composer Geraldo Vandré’s fervent score enliven this key outlier of the Cinema Novo movement.
