Synopsis

A woman bears a heavy cross through the bustling streets of Lesotho, witnessed by unmoved crowds. A sheep is taken on its final journey to the city, destined for slaughter. All the while, an unseen voice ambivalently addresses an unseen mother, reflecting on histories both personal and collective.

Editorial

Inhabiting the fertile border between order and chaos, Mosotho director Lemohang Mosese shapes this uncategorizable film with the mystery of poetry and the gravity of ceremony. Addressed to Mosese’s homeland from exile, this deeply felt film traverses vast subjects with erudition and enigma.
