Synopsis

Footage from 1986 to 1988 shows crowds at government assemblies and street protests campaigning for women’s rights. Often making direct appeals to the filmmaker, people speak of democratic processes, new legislation, and how some—yet not all—women are able to participate increasingly in public life.
