Synopsis
Nenette and Boni are estranged siblings. Boni works as a pizza chef and fantasizes about the baker’s wife, while Nenette is trapped in a boarding school. But when she unexpectedly shows up pregnant with a child she doesn’t want, Boni cannot hold his grudge much longer.

Claire Denis’s directing makes other pretensions to sensuousness on film pale. While the burden of femininity weighs oppressively on the Nénette half of this fleshy drama, the carnal appetite of infinitely horny Boni bubbles over in Agnès Godard’s oozing close-ups. Who knew dough could be this sexy?
