Synopsis
A Palestinian baker regularly risks crossing the West Bank wall to see his beloved Nadia. Alongside his childhood friends Tarek and Amjad, he trains for armed resistance against Israeli soldiers. During one of these crossings, he is captured and subjected to violence and humiliation.

Hany Abu-Assad’s various films have all handled the many complexities of the Israeli-Palestine conflict with great precision and sensitivity. Despite moving with the caustic speed of a thriller, Omar is no exception with its intimate sense of life under occupation and political struggle.
