Synopsis
Extrovert Pesi and shy Piroj are both in love with Jeroo. Pesi marries her and also draws close to the widowed lawyer Soona. Based on a short story by Karanjia written in the early 1950s.

Directed by Parallel Cinema icon Vijaya Mehta, Pestonjee explores the diverse manifestations of human loneliness through the prism of a miniscule Parsi community in ’50s and ’60s Mumbai. Questioning the meaning of happiness, the film makes sharp, comic observations on the idea of a perfect life.
