Synopsis

Jen is on a romantic getaway with her wealthy boyfriend, when his friends suddenly arrive for a hunting trip. Tensions in the house mount until things culminate in a shocking act that leaves Jen abandoned to die. Unfortunately for her assailants, Jen survives and reemerges with one intent: revenge.

Editorial

Weaponizing tropes to neo-feminist ends, Coralie Fargeat fires on all cylinders in this killer film. Adrenalized by the same fascination with transformation that sparks across The Substance, the provocateur filmmaker empowers her heroine to go from Barbie to badass with dangerous, delirious style.
