The Chronology of Water
Synopsis
As a girl, Lidia Yuknavitch turns to swimming and writing in desperate flight from a difficult home life, and excels in the water as on the page. Those two passions continue into adulthood, where Lidia contends with the persistent resurfacing of memories and the indiscriminate leakiness of the past.
Editorial
In an arresting directorial debut, Kristen Stewart casts her heartfelt punk signature with waves of art submerged in the messy ecstasy of feminine creativity. Under her gaze, Imogen Poots gives a stinging performance in which tides of emotion crash against the rocks of rough-edged, beautiful images.
