The Eggregores' Theory
2024
Synopsis
He cannot remember much from that time. Things have faded, like the colors of a painting exposed to too much light. The only thing bothering him is the music. It keeps popping up in his mind. He thinks he’s forgotten what it meant. He cannot get it out of his head.
Editorial
Using new technologies for creative expression and social commentary, Andrea Gatopoulos’s haunting short conjures a dystopian future where art and language are outlawed. At once painterly and discomfiting, a flood of surreal black-and-white images sounds alarm bells about the loss of individuality.
