The Girl and the Spider
Das Mädchen und die Spinne
2021
Synopsis
Lisa is moving out of her flatshare with Mara and Markus, and her move now means the end of an era. As boxes are shifted, walls painted and cupboards built, abysses begin to open up. While Lisa is looking forward to the change, for Mara it triggers a rollercoaster of emotions.
Editorial
Playing host to a duel between its characters’ inner lives and shared experiences, this confined confection is a film of simple pleasures and delectably profound mysteries. The sophomore feature from Ramon and Silvan Zürcher, The Girl and the Spider confirms the Swiss siblings as major talents.
