Synopsis
An ancient abbey named Incompiuta—aka the Unfinished—languidly lays under the sun in Venosa, Italy. It is an ageless witness to life happening around it. Its open walls symphonize the feminine voice of the earth, echoing the daily chatter about fruit and figs, and of the collective consciousness.

The spiritual and the mundane coalesce into a lush visual tapestry in Samira Guadagnuolo and Tiziano Doria’s elegant short. Images of church ruins, fig leaves, and ripe fruits are sensuously rendered on textured 16mm film stock, bringing an earthiness to this contemplation on the origin of mankind.
